CLERK

The Clerk’s office is open to serve the public.  It is the responsibility of the clerk to account for all Village funds including investments.  The Clerks work with the council to prepare the budget, the Villages fiscal year is March 1st to February 28th.  It is also the responsibility of the clerk to maintain official records including minutes, resolutions and ordinances. The Village records follow the State of Michigan Records Retention Schedule.

The Clerk serves as deputy treasurer.  The clerk also is a Notary, this service is available during office hours.
